Routes

The best way to get to know Chiang Mai is by bicycle. Most maps will cover the town quite well but as you travel outside the smaller roads are not as well covered. I am mapping some of our most popular cycle routes in Google maps, click the link below to see the map for the Samoeng Loop (opens in new window).

Since November 2010, the final stretch of tarmac on the right side of the River Ping (coming from the city), was completed. So no matter where you are based, or what type of bike you can enjoy a nice ride by the river. If you take a look at this MAP you will see the starting place for the daily group road rides. By using Google maps you can quickly identify numerous small roads that lead down to the river from the starting place, explore some of these and you will soon have a few nice loops to ride.
